Course Description: NUR – 4515 Pediatric Nursing and Clinical Rotations I  
(Theory 3, clinical 3)
This course focuses on meeting the parent-child health needs of individuals and families within
the community. Emphasis is placed on providing a continuum of care for at risk pregnant
women, infants, and children with acute conditions. Special focus placed on the unique role of
nursing and its contributions to the parent-child health team.

NUR – 4520 Pediatric Nursing and Clinical Rotations II
(Theory 1, Clinical 2)
Focuses on meeting the parent-child health needs of individuals and families within the
community. Emphasis is placed on providing a continuum of care for at risk pregnant women,
infants, children, and adolescents with acute or chronic conditions. Special focus placed on the
unique role of nursing and its contributions to the parent-child health team.

Disclaimer: The RN/BSN  student is responsible to complete the required clinical rotations hours for each speciality; otherwise,
the student may not graduate nor be eligible for the licensing. All clinical rotations assignments are direct supervised by a
qualified clinical instructor.  The student is required to pass all clinical rotations tasks to be able to complete the course.  The
student needs to comply with the clinical facility Student Handbook Guidelines.  Clinical assignments may be offered on
weekends and in a twelve hours shift. The student needs to attend a mandatory orientation prior to attend the clinical facility.
